Hope for Future Generations (HFFG) is a women-led organisation focused on building sustainable communities where women and girls can exact their leadership, capacities, talents and dreams.
Historically, women are the nurturers of the seed – possessing deep knowledge and capacity to sustain and water the land – to plant and harvest resources to feed their families and develop their communities. This is a wealth that is often unacknowledged, undervalued and violently neglected, leading to generations of fractured social structures where the very ones who can bear exponential assets are left out and excluded.
By shifting this paradigm and inviting the inclusion, perspectives and leadership of not only women – but also adolescents, children, and other marginalised community members such as sex workers and persons with disabilities – there is potential to transform how our communities function and how our gardens grow.
Through HFFG’s germinating methodologies and expertise in community mobilisation, integrated advocacy and networking, and monitoring, evaluation and learning, we have built an ecosystem that is deeply fruitful, widely participatory and ever-evolving.
