Nancy Ansah

Nancy Ansah is a native of Larteh Akuapem in Ghana. In 1997, she gained admission to the University of Ghana, Legon, where she studied English and Russian Languages. After her National Service as a Teaching Assistant in the Russian department, she gained admission for her Master’s studies in International Affairs at the Legon Centre for International Affairs.  Here she researched the intersections of gender and international politics. Ms. Ansah worked briefly with the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa (SWAA) Ghana and then in 2007 joined Regent University College of Science and Technology, McCarthy Hill, Accra, as a Public Relations Manager. By 2013, she had risen through the ranks to become the Registrar of the University College.

Ms. Ansah also served as the Vice President of SWAA Ghana in 2006-2010 and President from 2010-2014. She is Secretary to the Regent University Council, a member of the University Council of Mountcrest University College, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Kayayei Association. Ms. Ansah is a member and leader in the Society-Grace Methodist Church, Sakaman, Accra. Ms. Ansah also obtained an MBA in Management Information Systems and she is currently a PhD student at the University of Sheffield in the UK, researching the role of women rights advocacy groups in reproductive health policy formulation and implementation in Ghana.

Ms. Ansah is an accomplished conference speaker, a reproductive health and gender advocate and an educational administrator.
